LATEST: JULIA ROBERTS' movie star boyfriend BENJAMIN BRATT has walked away from a starring role alongside SHARON STONE in BASIC INSTINCT 2 - to team up with KATIE HOLMES.

Sick of waiting for Stone to approve him for the role of her psychotherapist in the much-anticipated sequel, Bratt has signed up for ABANDON instead, so he can make sure he gets one film in before the scheduled actor's strike in Hollywood, which begins on July 1 (01). (KL/DV/CPT)
