KIRK DOUGLAS, SIDNEY POITIER and TONY CURTIS are amongst an array of celebrities paying tribute to producer-director STANLEY KRAMER this month (31MAR01).
The star-studded posthumous honour will include a line-up of stars who have appeared in Kramer's films and will be hosted by the DIRECTORS GUILD OF AMERICA (DGA) and the MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION FUND.
Kramer, who died on 19 February (01) at the age of 87, is famed for such films as Guess Who's Coming To Dinner (1967) , Inherit the Wind (1960) , THE DEFIANT ONES and JUDGMENT ON NUREMBERG. The tribute - to be held at the DGA headquarters in Los Angeles, California - will also feature tributes from KATHARINE HEPBURN, JULIE HARRIS and JEFFREY KATZENBERG, amongst others. (RGS/HR/PDD)
