LATEST: Rapper SEAN 'PUFFY' COMBS is set to follow-up his courtroom victory with an even tougher task - winning back JENNIFER LOPEZ.

Sexy actress and singer Lopez - or J-LO as she likes to be known - dumped the hip-hop mogul earlier this year (01), and hooked up with dancer CRIS JUDD just as Puffy's legal woes got worse. But now that he's a free man - a court in Manhattan, New York, acquitted the I'LL BE MISSING YOU star on illegal gun possession and bribery charges on Friday (16MAR01) - J-Lo's back on his mind.

And according to America's NEW YORK DAILY NEWS, it's not only Puff - real name SEAN COMBS - who's desperate for a reunion. Latin lovely Lopez is said to be open to offers from the hip-hop hunk. A source close to Lopez says, "I think she probably wants Puffy back," adding that Lopez has been calling Combs - much to the chagrin of Judd.

Another source says, "Puffy realized that Jennifer was embarrassed by his big public displays of affection - things like releasing balloons and doves, putting up signs. He's also taken it to heart that she wants to stay home more." And a different source admits, "I wouldn't be surprised if they're back together in a month." (MCM/WNWCDN/KW)
