David Hasselhoff's Futuristic Knight Rider

DAVID HASSELHOFF is excited about transporting his '80s TV show KNIGHT RIDER to the big screen, after his embarrassing stage flop on New York's Broadway with JEKYLL AND HYDE.

The 48-year-old former BAYWATCH star plans to revive his flagging career with a revamped and updated version of the hit show - but with a futuristic feel.

David, whose character swept through the streets of America in a high-tech, talking car, explains, "It'll be Knight Rider in the future. There'll be a new team and I'll be the boss of the young team." The actor is adamant that he'll be the main man pushing his car KITT's buttons in the film, adding, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
