British actor EWAN McGREGOR has given up alcohol - after a disastrous night out on ABSINTHE.
The Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999) hunk, soon to be seen in MOULIN ROUGE (2001) opposite NICOLE KIDMAN, went on a binge on the harsh liquor, until recently banned in Britain because it contains 55-80 percent alcohol.
He says, "My vision was all blurry. It was madness." The Scottish heart-throb has promised his wife EVE MAVRAKIS he will calm down for the sake of their marriage and five-year-old daughter CLARA. (ES/WNTRE/NFA)
