Irvine Welch Resurrects Cult Characters For Trainspotting II

Legendary Scottish author IRVINE WELcH is to resurrect characters from his cult novel TRAINSPOTTING (1996) for the sequel.

The controversial writer, renowned for his use of foul language, will spark new life into RENTON, SPUD, SICK BOY and the infamous BEGBIE in a follow-up with the working title PORNO.

The plot is based around Sick Boy, played in the film by hunky JONNY LEE MILLER, attempts to make it in the seedy world of adult cinema, and will again be set in the author's native Leith.

The movie based on the book was a smash hit. Fans are now hoping stars EWAN McGREGOR, ROBERT CARLYLE and Miller will agree to reprise their roles if Porno is made into a film. (TM/WNTRE/NFA)
