LATEST: Peace talks have delayed the proposed Hollywood scriptwriters' strike.

Discussions over contracts between writers, producers and studio bosses continued after yesterday's (03MAY01) deadline. A walkout by writers would bring TV and movie production in America grinding to a halt.
