STEPHEN DOWNING, 44, served 27 years for the murder of typist WENDY SEWELL but was freed last year when his conviction was referred to Britain's COURT OF APPEAL. During the trial lurid tales about the victim's sex-life were revealed resulting in her nickname. DON HALE, the journalist behind the campaign to free Mr Downing says, "LIAM NEESON has already expressed an interest in playing me. But I have now been told Julia Roberts wants to play Wendy.
