From WENN Correspondent LUCY EDKINS in Los Angeles Dead movie star CHARLIE CHAPLIN is trying to make amends for having been the cause of all of ROBERT DOWNEY JNR's present troubles by offering help from beyond the grave. Downey Jr was nominated for an OSCAR for his 1992 portrayal of silent movie legend CHAPLIN (1992) and has been fighting a public battle against drugs ever since. And legendary celebrity psychic KENNY KINGSTON, who regularly converses with the spirits of MARILYN MONROE and ELVIS, believes it's because the spirit of Chaplin has been plaguing Downey's life ever since the movie - but now he wants to save him. Kingston explains,

"Robert Downey Jnr is a very troubled soul. Doing Chaplin was the beginning of his major troubles. There's no question that film has a direct effect on what's happening now. That was Charlie Chaplin overpowering him." But Kingston, who claims there's a scene in the hit movie where you can actually see the body of Chaplin entering Downey, believes the silent movie legend is now trying to help Downey get his life back on track. "Chaplin will now help him," he says. "Before, he wouldn't have helped him but Chaplin isn't evil, he's just troubled and now he's making a reversal.
