Teen pin-up JOSH HARTNETT just wanted to make "a few movies" - and never intended to be a massive star.

The actor, who is sure to hit the top of Tinsletown's A List with blockbuster film PEARL HARBOR (2001), had much smaller ambitions before he started out.

He explains, "My dad was out washing the car, and I talked his ear off about why I didn't wanna do the film. This isn't why I went to Hollywood, to be a big famous actor. "I wanted to do, y'know, a few films so I could go into a video store and say, 'Look! That's me!'" (RP/F/NFA)
