Brand new footage of a then-unknown JAMES DEAN has been discovered - almost half a century after it was screened.
Filmmaker MICHAEL SHERIDAN has spent five years tracking down television productions Dean was known to have made in the 1950s, and has found 28 films in private collections across the world.
They each last between 30 and 60 minutes, and reveal the ultimate REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE (1955) was "honing his craft". Mr Sheridan says, "It's beautiful material. You see him grow with this. He already had star quality. Even as an extra there was a certain magnetism. " (TM/WNBTI/NFA)
