Hollywood actor NICOLAS CAGE gave JOHNNY DEPP his first break.
EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (1990 star Johnny admits he was going nowhere, filling in countless job applications and was about to be evicted from his apartment when Cage suggested he should meet his agent.
The agent sent him to read for a part in WES CRAVEN's Nightmare On Elm Street, A (1984) and the rest is history. Depp says, "Yes, this is all Nic's fault. Nic's fault and Wes Craven's fault. " (TM/LO/RP)
