Sharon Stone's Husband Savaged By Dragon

SHARON STONE's husband has been viciously attacked by a Komodo dragon at the Los Angeles Zoo.

SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE executive editor PHIL BRONSTEIN and his BASIC INSTINCT (1992) wife were on a private tour of the zoo when he entered the lizard's cage.

The reptile attacked Bronstein's foot, crushing his big toe while thrashing its body around. He is in a stable condition at a Los Angeles hospital.

A zookeeper had asked Mr Bronstein to remove his white tennis shoes in case the lizard thought they were white rats. The blonde bombshell witnessed the terrifying attack from outside the cage. Bronstein was able to pry open the reptile's mouth and escape through a small feeding door in the cage while the zookeeper distracted it.

The surgery re-attached severed tendons and rebuilt a big toe. The tour was arranged as a Father's Day surprise for Bronstein, who had always wanted to see a Komodo dragon up close. Sharon says, "We're very grateful for the professional care of the people at the hospital. And we certainly don't blame the people at the zoo. " (NFA/WNWCAN/KMW)
