Pearl Harbor Holds Top British Box Office Spot


Second world war epic PEARL HARBOR (2001) is still reigning supreme at the top of Britain's box office.

In its second week in British cinemas Pearl Harbor made just over $2. 6 million (£2 million) - it's now made $8. 32 million (£6. 4 million) in total.

Tomb-raiding adventure MUMMY RETURNS, the (2001) continues to attract a large audience, it took $1. 43 million (£1. 1 million) last weekend to take the number 2 spot.

Of the new releases, teen comedy GET OVER IT (2001) made $1. 14 million (£880,000) to reach number 3, while CHRIS ROCK's DOWN TO EARTH (2001) reached number 5 with $780,000 (£600,000). BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY (2001) is still in the top 5, it has now taken over $48. 1 million (£37 million) in Britain since its release. (RP/WNWCAN/KMW)
