Television To See Orange

Movie shocker CLOCKWORK ORANGE, a (1971) is being shown on British television 30 years after its initial release.

Director STANLEY KUBRICK withdrew the film in 1972 after it was blamed for causing a series of real-life violent attacks.

The movie was based on the adventures of ALEX, played by MALCOLM MCDOWELL, whose life revolved around "rape and ultra-violence".

Cinemas who tried to play the film were repeatedly denied by court injunctions and it was largely unseen until Kubrick's death last year (00). The film will be shown on SKY BOX OFFICE on 4 July (01). (ACW/WNTMI/MCM)
