PEARL HARBOR (2001) star BEN AFFLECK is enjoying his new role as travel writer - as he gets to drive a brand new FERRARI car.

Affleck is writing a GREAT DRIVES column for CONDE NAST TRAVELER magazine, and started his journey this week (BEGS18JUN01), from Miami to Washington, D. C. Reports that

Affleck was given the car by ROBERT EARL, boss of PLANET HOLLYWOOD in South Beach, in return for attending the opening of his restaurant, were laughed off by his spokesman, DAVID POLLACK.

Pollack says, "Robert Earl of Planet Hollywood is a very generous man but not that generous. " Pollack added that Ben got nothing for his appearance, saying "He was in Miami and Robert Earl is a longtime friend of his. " (KMW/WNWCPS/KW)
