Hurley Threatened With Exile From Hollywood

ELIZABETH HURLEY is being threatened with the cold-shoulder from Hollywood after a series of American box-office failures. TOM DICILLO, the director of her latest American flick DOUBLE WHAMMY (2001), insists that the project was backed by financiers only because RESERVOIR DOGS (1992) actor STEVE BUSCEMI appears in it. Dicillo says,

"Hurley's work in Austin Powers - The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999) really impressed me. But her name didn't please the financiers. The casting people ironically said the biggest person that would sell this film was Steve Buscemi. No-one mentioned her. I wasn't aware of this particular infatuation that the British have for Liz Hurley. until I came here. " (KMW/WNE/KW)
