Ageing actor MICHAEL DOUGLAS is so in love with CATHERINE ZETA JONES he's reportedly ripped up their pre-nuptial agreement.

The TRAFFIC (2000) actors negotiated a pre-nuptial after they got engaged on New Years Eve 1999 in Aspen, Colorado, and married in New York in November last year (18NOV00). Before meeting Catherine, Michael had sworn off re-marriage after his first wife DIANDRA LUKER took $60 million (£46. 1 million) of his multi-million dollar fortune when they divorced in June 2000.

And according to tabloid reports, when the Welsh beauty did agree to become his wife, the couple argued over how much money she was worth. They eventually settled for Catherine receiving $1. 5 million (£1. 15 million) a year for each year they are married.

But after displaying their ever-continuing love for each other at the premiere of Catherine's new film AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS (2001) earlier this month (17JUL01), Michael has decided that divorce isn't on the horizon - and has binned the legal agreement. (ES/WNWCPS/KW)
