PEARL HARBOR (2001) star JOSH HARTNETT turned real-life hero when he saved a tot in a runaway baby buggy hurtling down a hill.

The 23-year-old hunk, who plays airman DANNY WALKER in the World War II epic, flew into action, hurling himself in front of the speeding buggy to stop it.

Hartnett intervened as he jogged in the hilly Los Angeles suburb of Beechwood Canyon where he saw the distraught mother running after the buggy screaming. A witness says,

"Like a true hero, Josh came to the rescue. It was very dangerous for the baby. " (LE/WNTSU/ES)
