British actress KATE BECKINSALE is moving to Hollywood - to cash in on her starring role in PEARL HARBOR (2001). Beckinsale, 28, has decided to follow in CATHERINE ZETA JONES's footsteps by relocating to Hollywood in the hope of breaking through into international movie star status.

Although she is reluctant to leave her actress mum JUDY LOE behind, Beckinsale, who will take boyfriend MICHAEL SHEEN and their two-year-old daughter LILY with her, has decided to make a permanent home in Los Angeles for the next few years.

The actress has leased a luxury house in trendy Venice Beach and pals say she's keeping her fingers crossed she'll get the big break she needs.

A friend says, "Kate has been inundated with offers from Hollywood. If her career takes off, she'll stay there for the next few years. " (LE/WNTST/PDD)
