Hollywood is confused as to the origins of reports saying JENNIFER LOPEZ and JULIA ROBERTS lunched together. The NEW YORK DAILY NEWS printed a false story about the OSCAR winner lunching with the all-singing, all-dancing Latina, but were forced to retract it. According to the NEW YORK POST newspaper, sources believe Robert's former publicist ELAINE GOLDSMITH - herself mentioned in the "lunch meeting" - planted the story.
A source says, "She wanted to make herself look like a big matcher. " After reading the supposedly harmless story, J. LO was far from amused by people getting the idea she was friends with Roberts and a retraction soon resulted. (ES/WNWCPS)
