Hollywood actor NICOLAS CAGE has been forced to acknowledge his respect for Tinseltown's movie industry - even though he only became a part of it to offend people.

The CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN (2001) star, 37, who once ate a live cockroach on screen, admits his attitude has altered drastically and that he now values the acting world for what it is. Cage, who is presently dating LISA MARIE PRESLEY, explains,

"When I started acting, my goal was to be punk rock - to make people uncomfortable, do things that were shocking and not normal. I'm not sure where that leads. I'm not sure where that stops being art and starts being insanity. " (RGS/HR/KW)
