Stars Pay Respect To Dead

Celebrities have been using their personal websites to pay tribute to the victims of last week's terrorist attacks on America. Stars have been left in a state of shock after witnessing attacks on both the WORLD TRADE CENTER and the PENTAGON, and have been quick to air their grief.

Golfer TIGER WOODS said, "I feel strongly that this is a time to pause, reflect and remember the victims of Tuesday's (11SEP01) horrific attack. " OSCAR-winning actor JEFF BRIDGES wrote, "I find I'm stunned, numb - my sorrow and fear is so deep that it's out of reach. The more I think of the global ramifications of what has happened, and what may happen, the more numb and paralysed I feel. "

U2, apart from expressing their sadness, have also appealed for fans to make a donation to the AMERICAN RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF FUND. They said, "If you have friends or family who have been touched by this tragedy, we are thinking about you. " (ACW/WNTST/RP)
