ER star ALEX KINGSTON, has spoken out for the first time about her acrimonious divorce from actor RALPH FIENNES. The sexy actress - who plays DR CORDAY in the hospital drama - says that she no longer has any contact with Fiennes, and doesn't even watch any of his films after he left her for another actress, 18 years his senior.

Alex and Ralph, both now 38, had been together for 12 years but in 1995, after two years of marriage, Ralph dropped the bombshell that he was leaving to be with FRANCESCA ANNIS, his co-star in a stage version of HAMLET.

Of her ex-husband, Alex says, "We have no relationship of any kind. I haven't seen any of his films since we split and that is fine by me. If you're the one who's been dumped you will feel like your life is over. You're hurt and angry that your partner seems to have moved on so easily from you, and that can be extremely painful. "

On being dumped by Fiennes, she adds, "I was feeling worthless, that I would never find anyone else as good as my husband - which is ridiculous - but I had so little self-esteem. Divorce is something awful but it is also something I don't regret happening to me because it has shaped who I am now. "
