Hollywood casting agents are in a frenzy of excitement over reports that EDWARD FURLONG has been dumped from the next Terminator movie. According to American journalists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, Furlong's less-than-law-abiding ways have finally caught up with the 24-year-old actor.
After a string of problems following his starring appearance in 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) - including drug offences and a charge for driving under the influence - his part as John Connor in Terminator 3 (2002) now looks set to be re-cast.
The role of Connor, saviour of the human race, is expected to be a central one in the top secret plot of the third in the series starring ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in April 2002. (KW/WNWCEM/CPT)
