Sean Penn And Courteney Cox
Friends star Courteney Cox Arquette and show guest star SEAN PENN have sparked reports of an onset affair - even though they are both married. The Carlito's Way star appeared alongside Cox and co-stars MATTHEW PERRY, MATT LeBLANC, LISA KUDROW, DAVID SCHWIMMER, and JENNIFER ANISTON, in two episodes of the hit comedy last year (2001).
According to show sources, the pair became close friends during shooting, and there have been reports Penn and Cox have been enjoying secret afternoons together - even though they are both hitched, Cox to DAVID ARQUETTE and Penn to actress ROBIN WRIGHT.
A source told American tabloid National Enquirer, "Occasionally, Sean stops by for a short 30-minute visit. Other times he, he visits Courteney's trailer. Her assistant gets them food from the commissary or they have it delivered." And pals of the sexy actress say she has been happier than ever since igniting her friendship with the Oscar-nominated star. Penn's friends insist however that the relationship is completely innocent.
The actor's spokeswoman Lois Snith says, "The reason Sean did his appearances on Friends is because his wife and kids love the show. He is happily married, and so is courteney. "
