SHARON STONE has stepped out in public to show the world she has beaten the brain hemorrhage that almost killed her last year (2001). The Basic Instinct (1992) star celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary last week, by going on holiday with husband Phil Bronstein and their adopted two-year-old son Roan in California's Napa Valley. Stone, 43, was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles last September after suffering severe headaches, and underwent a five-hour operation to reduce the risk of another potentially fatal blood clot.

But the blonde actress looked fit and happy while enjoying the break with he family. And according to pals, the scare has strengthened her relationship with the 51-year-old editor. A family friend says, "Phil and Sharon are totally in love and realise what they have is very special after her life threatening illness. They are both committed to their marriage and to raising Roan together. Going through that ordeal has only strengthened their relationship. "
