BEN AFFLECK is struggling with sobriety - and he wants everyone to know about it. The movie star, who checked himself into rehab in Malibu, California, at Christmas (2002) in a bid to quench his growing thirst for alcohol, admits he's still struggling to stay away from booze. Affleck says he hates fans to think he's on the mend when every day and night is a constant struggle for him.

He says, "I don't want to pretend that everything's great, that I'm some sort of enlightened person. I have a lot of struggles, I'm conflicted. I think about things, I wake up in the middle of the night, I have regrets, I'm very insecure. I'm not like living in some great tranquil state out in my rock garden. "
