Midnight screening satisfies Star Wars' fans

Thousands of Star Wars fans around the world have turned out for overnight screenings to become the first members of public to see the latest episode in the hit film series.

Many declared that Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002) was as good as they had hoped, and said it was an improvement on the previous installment, The Phantom Menace.
Attack of the Clones is the second episode in the sequence of nine, which will eventually be made. It sees an injection of romance between Anakin Skywalker, played by Hayden Christensen, and Senator Padme Amidala, played by Natalie Portman.

Director George Lucas was joined by a galaxy of stars at the world premiere for the fifth Star Wars film in London's Leicester Square on Tuesday.
The film is expected to be an enormous global hit, following the success of the last Star Wars movie which is the third biggest box office hit of all time, taking £690 million.
