Welsh Farmer Ruins Bonds Shooting

Secret Agent James Bond has to face challenges of all different shapes and sizes, from sharks to evil drug barons. But one problem he had to face on the set of his new film Die Another Day (2002) was rather unexpected.

As Pierce Brosnan was preparing for a showdown on the Korean coastline, a Welsh farmer drove his digger along in the background. The farmer was on his own land in Wales, as the crew were using it as a double for Korea.

Farmer Emyr Brown said: "At least my digger had a cameo role in a James Bond film. I've been a Bond fan for years – the first film, Dr. No (1962), is my favourite. The crew have been great and we've enjoyed having them here. The fact they had to retake that scene didn't seem to bother them."
