Fire sweeps through set of Johnny Depp's new movie

A fire has caused $350,000 worth of damage on the set of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom's new film.

The fire swept through the set of Pirates of the Caribbean, The (2003) at the Walt Disney studios in Los Angeles.
No one was injured and the fire was put out after about 50 minutes according to a fire brigade spokesman.

"The cause is now under investigation, but it involved the set preparation and a type of foam that they carve into different shapes to use,"

A spokeswoman for Disney insisted the fire won't hold up production and the film is still scheduled to be released next summer.
The film is based on the Disneyland theme park ride and will star Depp and Bloom. Geoffrey Rush will portray the villain, pirate Captain Blackheart.
