JULIA Roberts was yesterday named the highest-paid US actress for the second year running, despite her only film role of 2002 bombing at the box-office.
The Oscar winner was still worth $36 million a movie, even after her involvement in Steven Soderbergh's poorly-received satire Full Frontal (2002), a Hollywood Reporter survey revealed.
The newspaper said her market value remained buoyant because of the high salaries she earned for new films Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003).
Cameron Diaz, who stars in Gangs Of New York (2001), was also said to be worth up to $36 million per performance.
Drew Barrymore, Jodie Foster and Reese Witherspoon, who all earn up to $28 million a film, also made the top 10.
Sandra Bullock was rated the sixth-highest-paid actress.
