George Clooney has revealed that Brad Pitt and Matt Damon offered to star in his new film for free.
They are shown taking part in a TV dating show in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), which Clooney stars in and directs.
The film is based around Chuck Barris - played by Sam Rockwell - an American TV producer who claims to have been an undercover agent for the CIA.
Clooney joked: "I had to pay Brad and Matt $20million and they both had to audition for the role.
"Really - that was a pure favour, I still to this day can't believe they did it, they just showed up, that shows what great friends they are.
"When we were putting the film together I got a call from almost every A-list actress talking about the roles, because these are great parts."
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) opens in the UK this weekend.
