Julia Roberts Divorce Rumours Denied

Julia Roberts' husband has scoffed at reports that the couple's marriage is on the rocks.

Media reports have claimed their 9-month marriage was over and that they were having secret divorce talks.

But cameraman Danny Moder insisted their relationship is not in trouble, according to Hello! magazine. "Everything is just fine with our marriage," he told reporters outside the couple's beachfront home in Venice, California.

"I've heard about all these rumours; I am aware of them. But it's not true – we are fine."

Roberts, 35, and Moder, 34, met in 2000 on the set of The Mexican in which the actress co-starred with Brad Pitt.

They married in July 2002.

It has since emerged that Moder's wife of five years, makeup artist Vera Steinberg, had a miscarriage shortly before he left her.

Roberts got off to a bad start with Moder's family, wearing a "Low Vera" T-shirt.

"Danny's family hasn't hidden the fact that they dislike her intensely," a friend said.

"Julia blames Danny's family now for a lot of the problems."

Roberts' love life reads like a Hollywood Who's Who. She left Kiefer Sutherland on the eve of their wedding in 1991, running off with his friend Jason Patric.

Her first marriage to country singer Lyle Lovett in 1993 ended after just 21 months.
