The ongoing shake-out at entertainment-related Inernet sites jolted Hollywood.com Tuesday as about two-thirds of its staff were laid off and virtually all of the technical operations of the company were switched to the company's Boca Raton, FL headquarters.

In an interview with today's (Wednesday) Daily Variety, Hollywood.com chairman Mitch Rubenstein said, "In many of the cases, the technology can now do what the people used to do."
