Actress Geena Davis is expecting twins, her publicist has announced.

Samantha Mast told reporters in Los Angeles that Davis is healthy and looking forward to the birth next spring.

The 46-year-old and her husband, Dr Reza Jarrahy, have a daughter, Alizeh, who was born in April last year.

Mast said Davis has been concentrating on being a mum, but is scheduled to shoot a guest appearance on the television comedy Will & Grace soon.
