Scarlett finds life in LA hard

Scarlett Johansson says she is finding it hard to adjust to her new life in Los Angeles.

The Lost In Translation star moved from New York to California recently to further her acting career, and finds the culture change a bit of a shock reports Teenhollywood.com.

She said: "LA's a very hard place to be unless you have people there that love you. It can be very, very lonely, and it can eat you up if you don't take care of yourself."

"There's so much emphasis on what's happening next, on who people can meet to better themselves, and I'm not used to that."

"Growing up in New York, if you know one person, you know 20. If you go to a party where you don't know many people, you end up meeting everybody. It's so comfortable.

"
In LA, nobody wants to talk to each other, everybody's giving each other catty looks. It's strange, but if you can get out of that scene, then there's plenty of nice things LA has to offer."
