Jamie Lee Curtis has told how she got hooked on painkillers after having plastic surgery.

The A Fish Called Wanda star, who overcame hard drug and booze addiction long ago, said she tried "various" nips and tucks on her body reports The Sun.

Jamie, 46, added: "It was a big stimulator of my abuse of pills.

"It was during a cosmetic procedure that I first had painkillers. I found them helpful as they did the job without the messiness of alcohol.

"I'd anaesthetise myself on a daily basis."
