Hollywood stars SUSAN SARANDON and GOLDIE HAWN are set to play a pair of former best friends who are re-united years later.

In their youth the women were rock'n'roll groupies, hence the film's title - THE BANGER SISTERS.

But as they drift apart years later, they find that their lives are very different. While SARANDON plays a wealthy socialite who wants to keep her raunchy past a secret, HAWN is a waitress who still loves music and relishes her youthful exploits.

The only problem facing the project is getting it made before the possible actors' strike in America next year (01), as SARANDON is a prominent supporter of the action.
