Kylie In A Whirl On Magic Roundabout


Pop princess Kylie Minogue was the lady in red as she brought a touch of glamour to the film premiere of legendary children's show The Magic Roundabout.

The Aussie stunner wowed the crowds in London's Leicester Square in a gorgeous red Issa dress and Manolo Blahnik shoes.

She plays the role of Florence in the movie and admitted: "I was so thrilled to be asked, and now I'm like the kids I'm so excited about seeing the film."

A host of stars have provided voices for the characters from the cult series including Robbie Williams - who plays Dougal - Ray Winstone, former Doctor Who Tom Baker and Lord of the Rings star Ian McKellen.

There is also a sleepy, guitar-playing rabbit named Dylan, voiced by actor Bill Nighy, Joanna Lumley is the voice of Ermintrude the pink cow and Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent takes on the role of Brian the snail.

Other celebrities starring in the animation film include Ray Winstone and former Dr Who actor Tom Baker.

The series was created by Frenchman Serge Danot in 1965 and was originally called Le Manege Enchante.

French children and adults loved the series when it was screened and more than 500 episodes were made between 1963 and 1967.

Other celebrities who attended the premiere included actress Miranda Richardson, TV presenter Denise van Outen and Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley.
