Tom Cruise says he doesn't care what people think of his romance with Katie Holmes.

Cruise confirmed earlier this month that he was dating the Dawson's Creek actress who is 16 years younger than the actor reports IMDb.com.

He said: "When I make a move like that, I'm saying, 'This is my woman.' People are gonna do what they're gonna do. You can't think in terms of what are people gonna do or gonna say... I want to share my life this woman, this woman is exceptional, she's special, she's extraordinary and I have great respect for her. I've got nothing to hide, I'm happy... She is something else."

He said he was not worried about the age gap and joked: "I'm concerned whether someone can keep up with me. I've got a fast life, I've got a lot going on."
