Brad Pitt is reportedly being lined-up to star in a new biopic about Dutch artist Van Gogh.

Director Ron Howard and producer Brian Glazer want to remake Lust for Life, the 1956 Vincente Minnelli directed movie which earned Kirk Douglas an Oscar nomination as the troubled Vincent Van Gogh who committed suicide in 1890.

According to the New York Post, Howard and Glazer want Pitt to play the lead role in the movie which will have "a new angle."
