Sir Michael Gambon has joined the cast of Robert De Niro's spy drama The Good Shepherd.

Alec Baldwin and Billy Crudup have also joined the line-up of stars which also include Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon.

De Niro will direct and also star in the drama about the CIA.

Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, The Insider, Ali) has written the screenplay.

The Universal Pictures' movie will be filmed in New York later this year.
