George Clooney has hit back at Russell Crowe for slagging him off for doing TV adverts.
Clooney said: "I don't like artists attacking artists. I have a problem with that.
"Russell picked a fight with me and I tried to make a joke out of it - but he came at me again."
Crowe, 41, had said: "I don't do ads for suits in Spain like George Clooney or cigarettes in Japan like Harrison Ford."
He called ads "sacrilegious" and a "contradiction of the f*****g social contract with your audience."
Clooney admitted: "I've called people up to say, 'What the f*** is wrong with you?'"
Clooney said Crowe had used his status to promote his band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts.
