Eddie Murphy has agreed to star in Starship Dave.

The sci-fi comedy will focus on a group of diminutive humanoid aliens in search of a way of saving their dying planet.

Their mission is sent off course when the man-shaped craft in which they are travelling falls in love reports Variety.
