Four Baftas for Brokeback Mountain


Brokeback Mountain has triumphed at the Orange British Academy Film Awards.

The gay cowboy movie won Best Film and the Best Director award for Ang Lee.

It also won Best Adapted Screenplay while Jake Gyllenhaal was named Best Supporting Actor.

The Constant Gardener, which had been nominated for ten awards, won only one - for Best Editing.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was named Best Actor for Capote and Reese Witherspoon won the Best Actress prize for Walk the Line.

George Clooney also missed out on winning anything despite being nominated for four awards,

Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit was named Best British Film.

Lord Puttnam was given a Bafta fellowship in recognition of his work, including Chariots of Fire and The Killing Fields.
