Gwyneth Paltrow is being lined up for a starring role in a new romantic comedy.

The Farrelly brothers want her to star opposite Ben Stiller in the Seven Day Itch, reports the Boston Herald.

The DreamWorks Pictures movie is a loosely inspired remake of 1972 film The Heartbreak Kid.

Bobby Farrelly said: "Ben thinks he's married the girl of his dreams. She's beautiful, but then, on their honeymoon, he finds out she's nuts."

Paltrow would play the bride while Michelle Monaghan would play the girls he meets and falls for on honeymoon.
