Rachel's film booed by critics

Rachel Weisz has attended the world premiere of her new film The Fountain at the Venice Film Festival - despite it being booed earlier by critics.

The film is written and directed by her American fiance, Darren Aronofsky.

The film features three parallel stories spanning 1,000 years.

Hugh Jackman stars as a 16th century Spanish explorer, 21st century scientist and 26th century astronaut, searching for the Fountain of Youth in a bid to save the life of Weisz, the woman he loves.

In the contemporary story, Weisz's character is dying of cancer and her scientist husband races against time to find a cure reports BBC online.

Weisz defended the film, she said: "I think it's wonderful that the film is so different. I would love to work with Darren again."
