Lindsay Lohan may be joining the cast of the film Escaping the Game, it has been reported.

Lohan, who was recently accused of stealing a $2,500 (£1,547) necklace, could be facing jail time for the crime if found guilty. However, movie producer Nathan Folks still wants the actress to star in his next project, according to Hollywire.

"Lohan wants to do it," Folks said. "She's doing great and we're going to prove to the world that she's back."

Folks went on to say that he is confident that Lohan's alcohol and drug dependencies will not cause any problems for the film.

"We can get her insured if she is with someone who is keeping an eye on her 24/7," Folks said. "Lindsay and I have discussed it and she's already agreed to the condition."

Should Lohan decide to join the movie, she would play an investigator looking into the disappearances of various celebrities.
