Daniel Radcliffe 'would never return to Harry Potter'

Daniel Radcliffe has said that he can't see himself ever being convinced to reprise his role as Harry Potter, even if J.K .Rowling writes more adventures featuring the teen wizard.

Radcliffe made the comments amid speculation about Rowling's next project, following the launch of her new teaser website Pottermore earlier this week.

"I know nothing about that whatsoever," Radcliffe assured the Los Angeles Times. "I'm sure that Jo Rowling will be writing a lot more in the coming years."

"As long as they don't involve Harry, I'm quite happy to buy them," he joked.

When asked whether he would ever consider returning to the character that made him famous down the road, Radcliffe was adamant that it wasn't something that he would be interested in.

"Not particularly, I think that would be a bit odd," he explained. "I'd be very skeptical about that."

"First of all I don't think she will," he added, regarding the potential for more Harry Potter appearances in the author's future novels. "And second of all, the idea of going back to something after ten or 20 years? At that point, to go back to it would feel a little self-defeating."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 opens in both the US and the UK on July 15.
